Call of Duty: Warzone is the free, new Battle Royale mode in the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. What makes it special: The mode is not only free to play, but can also be played entirely without Modern Warfare.
The title comes with different modes, Warzone: Battle Royale, Warzone: Plunder, Warzone: Mini Royal and Warzone: Rebirth Island. You will find many sights, streets, houses, hiding places and interesting locations.
The Battle Royale mode is without question the main part of the game. You compete in teams of up to 4 players against other teams, whereby a maximum of 150 players can start a match together. The beginning is reminiscent of other Battle Royale games. The round starts with a sequence on the plane before you jump off where you want. Killing everyone until only one team remains is the main goal in Warzone, which is why it’s a good idea to land together with your teammates.
There are crates of loot hidden all over the map, where you can find weapons, money and other items. Together with your team, you equip yourselves and then try to get the victory. If you should die, your comrades can bring you back after loosing your second chance in the gulag. “Gulag” actually refers to a penal and labor camp in the Soviet Union. In Warzone it is also the setting for a 1-on-1 match against another dead opponent. The winner is sent back into the game once and can continue playing. The buy station (“shop”) offers another possibility to equip yourself.
