We all can hardly wait! Only a few weeks separate us from the release of the latest EA Sports FIFA! On September 27th 2021 it’s finally time & the new season starts with FIFA22. In the last weeks we got to know more and more new features of the game. Especially in focus is the most popular mode of the game series: FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM. Like every year, we are very excited about the changes & enhancements. What new icons will there be? What are their stats? One of the most popular icon contenders is the Spanish legend David Villa!

David Villa is a Spanish soccer legend! He won every major title during his career, both nationally and internationally. These include the European Championship, the World Cup, Champions League & the Spanish Championship. In the Spanish national team he is also called „Maravilla“ (miracle), because he is still the record goal scorer.
After learning to play soccer at his boyhood club, Villa started his professional career at Sporting Gijón in the second team. After spending 3 years with the club, he moved to Real Zaragoza and even won the cup final against Real Madrid. In 2003, Villa made his breakthrough with a move to Valencia FC. With 107 goals in 164 appearances, he rewarded the club’s faith & became one of Valencia FC’s top scorers.
After being bought by FC Barcelona in 2010 for a sum of 40 million, he played for the Catalans for 3 years. With 33 goals in 77 appearances, Villa was able to convince FC Barcelona, despite a nasty injury. David Villa then moved to Atlético Madrid in 2013. He only made 36 appearances, in which he scored 13 goals, as he began his career winding down in 2014 with a move to Australia & the MLS.David Villa ended his career in 2020, after his last stint at Japanese club Vissel Kobe.
In summary, David Villa is one of the greatest & most popular Spanish footballers of all time. His fans are located all over the world. His greatest strengths were considered to be his Acceleration, his strength in tackling, his „game intelligence“ and his confident finishing.
